Trash Can / Recycle Bin

Additional Trash Can / Recycle Bin — Residents must contact Waste Management directly at 336-573-1616 or 336-573-1618 to request an additional trash can or recycle bin and are billed directly from Waste Management.

All trash cans must be pulled away from the street by 6 a.m. of the second day following trash pick up. For a week that has pick up on Wednesday, your trash can must be stored away from the street by 6 a.m. on Friday. For a week that has pick up on Thursday because of a Holiday, your trash can must be stored away from the street by 6am on Saturday. Public Works will be tagging the trash cans that are in violation of this Ordinance. First offenders will receive a warning. Second and subsequent offenders will receive a fine per offense. If you will not be in Town to be compliant, for example, you are on vacation, please call Town Hall so you will not be ticketed.

  • Rinse.
  • Lids only if still attached and tucked inside; labels are ok.
  • Aerosol cans - must be empty - remove and discard caps - do not flatten.

Limb and Brush Pick-Up

Bulk Items Pickup

The Town of Stoneville has contracted with Waste Management for bulk pickup of resident's discarded items. These items must be acceptable at the Rockingham County Landfill - call 336-427-4789 to find out if your items are acceptable. Town residents should come to Town Hall at 101 Smith Street, pay the Bulk Pick-Up Fee for the service, and then we will contact Waste Management to have your items removed. The service is available Monday - Friday. The Town only picks up bulk items in the Spring when the County Landfill allows the service. Persons who are in violation of the Town's Ordinance on bulk items are subject to fines.
