Town Manager Gamble Resigns to Take Lead Job in Denton, NC

TOWN MANAGER KENNETH GAMBLE SUBMITS RESIGNATION TO ACCEPT POSITION AS TOWN MANAGER OF DENTON, NC

Stoneville, NC January 8, 2019 – Town manager Kenneth Gamble has submitted a letter of resignation to the Town Council and informed them that he has accepted an offer to become town manager of the Town of Denton, NC. Mr. Gamble’s last day with the town will be January 25, 2019.

Mr. Gamble has managed town operations for the last five years and has led the town to some significant accomplishments including:


$4.1 Million in Grant Funding Secured
Doubled Unassigned Fund Balance
$15M in Business Investment Creation and Leadership of the Downtown Core Group
Significant Improvements to Infrastructure
Town Re-Branding Campaign
Downtown Banners & Decorative Street Signage
Community Post Card Mural & Downtown Pocket Park Development
Created Professional Development Opportunities for Staff
Mayor Ricky Craddock stated that the town and Council appreciated Ken’s strong leadership and service to the community. He went on to say that, “Ken has made some great contributions to the community and I hate to see him leave. I and the Council wish him the best in his new job.”

Mr. Gamble reflected on his five years of service to the town and said, “It has been an honor and privilege to work with staff, Town Council, Downtown Core Group, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Stoneville Rotary Club, volunteers and residents to improve the Town for everyone.”
